Electromechanical Technician for Normal Conducting Magnets (TE-MSC-NCM-2025-201-LD)

Job Description Introduction: Are you ready to work hands-on with the magnets that keep CERN’s accelerators running? The Magnets, Superconductors and Cryostats ( MSC ) group of the Technology Department ( TE ) designs, constructs and measures the superconducting and normal conducting magnets for the CERN accelerator complex. The group is also in charge of integrating magnets into the CERN accelerator complex, designing and procuring magnet cryostats and performing magnet quality control. In addition to these tasks, the MSC group is responsible for ensuring that all magnets meet the required specifications and standards. This includes testing and commissioning of magnets, as well as providing technical support to other groups within CERN.
