Job description

A SWDE is looking for electricians to maintain its different territories.

A large number of low-tension electrical installations are spread across the Wallon territory. They mainly serve to power water treatment and production facilities at SWDE. As a low-tension electrician, you manage the maintenance and management of electrical installations located within your activity perimeter. Your main role is to ensure their compliance with current legislation, ensuring personnel and subcontractor safety, as well as equipment functioning.

You also perform maneuvers on low- and high-voltage installations within your BA4/BA5 authorization area.

Missions

Regarding maintenance and compliance of low-tension electrical installations:

  • The follow-up of periodic controls with the External Technical Control Service (respecting legal requirements) ;
  • The resolution of infractions ensuring installation conformity, mainly through subcontracting markets and internal corrective actions ;
  • The surveillance of works or transformations on electrical installations. This implies regular travel in a Wallon region van.

Regarding administrative follow-up of existing electrical installations:

  • The archiving and document vigilance of electrical files (specific documents) ;
  • The preparation (finding/establishing documents) and execution of periodic controls ;
  • The communication of any change that may impact colleague safety and installation functioning ;
  • The organization of coordination meetings to generate work permits ;
  • The information of colleagues about updates related to electrical installations. You sensitize them to practical training (maneuvers).

Regarding security and regulatory knowledge:

  • You maintain your legal knowledge up-to-date (RGIE, Code du bien-être, RGPT, …) through continuous training to ensure compliance and safety of installations ;
  • As an electromechanic, you participate in the role of site supervisor for water production facilities (interventions on-site or via remote supervision) after completing a certified insertion training ;
  • As a safety officer, you ensure respect of procedures, sensitize teams, and promote good practices on-site.

Profile

  • You hold a secondary technical upper-level diploma in the field of electricity or have experience in a similar function ;
  • You can read electrical plans ;
  • You appreciate working mainly independently while maintaining regular communication with your team ;
  • You are organized, methodical, and rigorous ;
  • You like finding solutions and taking initiatives ;
  • You are comfortable with computer tools (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows 11) ;
  • Possessing knowledge of Autocad, See electrical, and ElecCalc is an asset ;
  • Having experience in electrical compliance is an asset ;
  • You express yourself perfectly in French at oral and written levels ;
  • You possess a type B driving permit to regularly travel to different SWDE sites.
