We have a vacancy for a NZ Registered Electrician or Senior Service Technician to join our Auckland, Penrose branch. We seek a reliable professional with strong communication skills who thrives in a positive team environment.
- Hours: Monday-Friday - 8am-4.30pm, minimum of 40 hours.
- Salary: $30-40 /hour depending on experience.
- After-hours rate of 1.5x, plus benefits and on-call allowance.
- Training is provided as required.
- Penrose, Auckland
- Repair and diagnose faults in all types of entrance systems.
- Service, maintenance, and installation of automatic doors, swing, roller doors, manual doors, high-speed doors, and gates.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Asset upgrades and replacement.
- Full training.
- Site-to-site repairs for breakdowns or planned maintenance.
- Experience: NZ Registered Electrician or Senior Service Technician.
- Experience and willingness to work with a variety of electrical and some mechanical equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve onsite as required.
- A clean, full driver’s license.
- Good communication skills.
- This role will service the greater Auckland area.
- Head office is in Penrose.
- A clean record is required, and candidates must pass security vetting for certain sites.
- Communication Skills: Clear, professional interaction with clients and team members. Ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms. Writing concise service reports or updates.
- Problem-Solving: Diagnosing faults quickly and accurately. Thinking on your feet during breakdowns or unexpected issues. Adapting solutions to different systems and environments.
- Reliability and Accountability: Showing up on time and completing tasks thoroughly. Taking ownership of jobs and following through. Maintaining trust with clients and colleagues.
- Customer Service Orientation: Respectful, courteous behavior on client sites. Understanding client needs and delivering solutions that meet expectations. Building long-term relationships through quality service.
- Team Collaboration: Supporting fellow technicians and sharing knowledge. Coordinating with dispatch or admin teams for smooth operations. Contributing to a positive team culture.
- Adaptability: Handling a variety of equipment and environments. Learning new systems or procedures as needed. Staying calm under pressure or in changing conditions.
