Experience Required: 3–5 Years (in heavy industry, preferably in CRGO or electrical steel processing)

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer with specific experience in the CRGO steel or similar heavy industrial environments. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the performance of electrical systems and automation equipment to ensure optimal functioning of plant machinery and uninterrupted production operations.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems across the plant, especially in CRGO processing equipment such as:

  • Slitting lines

  • Annealing furnaces

  • Cut-to-length lines

  • Core cutting machines

• Troubleshoot breakdowns and perform root cause analysis for all electrical and control-related issues.

• Maintain and update all electrical documentation – layouts, wiring diagrams, PLC programs, and panel drawings.

• Coordinate with production and process teams to ensure minimal downtime and high equipment availability.

• Perform regular calibration and testing of instrumentation (temperature controllers, pressure gauges, sensors, etc.).

• Manage and maintain PLC, SCADA, VFD, and HMI systems from OEMs like Siemens, ABB, Schneider, etc.

• Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.

• Coordinate with external vendors and OEMs for specialized maintenance or upgrades.

• Maintain a spare parts inventory and plan for procurement of critical components.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPM, Six Sigma, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and automation in a steel processing environment.

• Hands-on experience with:

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi)

  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and soft starters

  • High voltage and low voltage systems

  • Power distribution and MCC panels

• Familiarity with CRGO machinery and their specific maintenance needs.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
