Electrical Draftsperson

Based in Singleton, NSW, we specialise in innovative solutions for cleaner and more efficient energy production. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrical Draftsperson to join our engineering team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and maintain electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Undertake plant walk-downs and mark-up drawings to “as-built” status.
• Work independently with P&IDs and control logic diagrams to support engineering activities.
• Assist Electricians and Engineers with routine operational and maintenance tasks.
• Provide support to the operations team in interpreting electrical drawings.
• Identify modifications, new equipment installations, and plant inclusions, updating drawings for approval by the Engineering Manager.
• Ensure accurate cable numbering, identification, and documentation for all installed systems.
• Participate in cable identification, point-to-point testing, loop checking, and verification as required.
• Aid in maintaining compliance with all site safety protocols, including work at heights, in confined spaces, and around HV/LV switchgear.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Construction White Card required
• Accredited qualification in Electrical Drafting
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in drafting electrical drawings
• Strong understanding of power station equipment and plant documentation
• Ability to read and interpret control logic diagrams
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
• Safety-conscious and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
