The Role

We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Electrical Designer/Engineer to join the team, focusing on the design and delivery of electrical systems for data centres and mission-critical facilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects, develop your technical expertise, and grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for data centres and critical facilities, including power distribution, UPS systems, backup generators, and low-voltage systems.
  • Prepare electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including senior engineers, mechanical designers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., BS EN, IEC, CIBSE, ASHRAE).
  • Conduct site surveys and support feasibility studies to inform project planning.
  • Assist in the commissioning and handover processes to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to project documentation and coordinate with clients and stakeholders as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data centre and critical systems design.


What We’re Looking For


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably with exposure to data centres, critical systems, or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Experience delivering electrical design projects from concept to completion.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software.
  • Knowledge of power systems, including MV/LV distribution, UPS, and backup power solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for data centre design (e.g., Uptime Institute, TIA-942) is an asset.
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) is a plus.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with project teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow under the guidance of senior team members.


Certifications (Preferred):

  • Working toward Professional Engineer status (P.Eng) or equivalent professional Accreditation.
  • Data centre-specific certifications (e.g., CDCDP, ATD, or similar) are a plus.
