Electrical Designer

Join us as we grow our electrical design capabilities in New Zealand and design the networks for the future with us. As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for the production of high-quality design documentation for clients within the transmission and distribution space. You will report directly in to the Director – Energy and be actively supported to grow and develop within the role as our team expands.

As we grow into the sector and establish ourselves as trusted partners, we pull from the expertise of over 100 electrical, civil and structural engineers within our Australian Energy team to strengthen local capability and deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of distribution overhead lines, substations and underground cable networks
• Developing and maintaining AutoCAD and Revit models for substation layouts, equipment arrangements, and associated building services.
• Preparing design drawings and documentation in coordination with electrical engineers and design staff.
• Project scoping and estimating.
• Collaborating in a team environment, while learning to work efficiently and autonomously on allocated tasks.
