Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of commodity group strategies in the area of steel (sheets, profiles, forgings, castings)
- Analysis of national and international procurement markets
- Selection, qualification and development of suppliers
- Independent negotiation of framework agreements, price and condition agreements
- Conducting cost analyses and implementing savings potentials
- Close cooperation with construction, production and quality assurance
- Risk management in the supply chain (availability, price volatility, geopolitical risks)
- Support with make-or-buy decisions
- Clarification of escalations within the supply chain
Qualifications
- Successfully completed studies in industrial engineering, business administration, mechanical engineering or comparable
- Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in the industrial sector or a related industry.
- Curiosity and passion for technology and economic contexts
- Confident demeanor and assertiveness, especially in negotiations
- Experience in dealing with international suppliers
- Proficient use of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and MS Office
- Analytical, structured and independent way of working
- Negotiation-level German and English skills
- High willingness to travel
