The Johannes-Kessels-Akademien are state-recognized vocational colleges for training in the social and health sector with locations in Essen-Werden and Gladbeck. Since 1990, we have been responsible as a private, Catholic school administrator for the smooth and sustainable operation of these two schools.
The provision of teachers and non-teaching staff, the guarantee of teaching through permissions and procedures, the provision of necessary rooms, equipment, and infrastructure, the associated financial management, and the coordination of various services required for this purpose ensure we as a private school administrator.
We are looking for an immediate hire Generalist*in (m/w/d) for Purchasing, Financial/Accounting & Controlling in our small team at the business office in the Essen city center.
Aufgaben
To reflect and strategically secure the financial aspects of our business
- You will independently conduct main and subsidiary accounting
- You will create the budget plan in close coordination with the team, and analogously conduct the quarterly and annual closing according to HGB, and accompany its review
- Based on this, you will work out the district council plans for the Bezirksregierungen, and write the annual reports on the use of budget funds
- You will also process funding programs, and coordinate the interface of salary integration
To ensure our service providers for optimal equipment and infrastructure
- You will review our ongoing contracts for optimization potential, initiate and accompany necessary procurement processes, review invoices, and be the main point of contact for our creditors.
- You will always have the development and professionalization of our schools in mind.
Qualifikation
We expect from you:
- Curiosity, to get to know the many facets of school administration – even outside your described task area –
- Readiness to work closely in a small team
- Able to perform complex processes and procedures with great care and precision
- An absolute affinity for numbers with strong motivation for efficiency
- A Bachelor's degree in Financial/Accounting, a commercial education and training in accounting or a comparable degree
- Mind. five years of professional experience
- Knowledge about substitute schools (EschVO), the financing of substitute schools (FESchVO) and about the School Act NRW
- Identification with the goals of the Catholic Church
