Job description





Your range of tasks includes:



As a senior software Test Engineer, you ensure that software is reliable, stable and ready for use. You lead complex test strategies and coach employees.

You tackle complex, system-wide issues, but you also look for bugs, test functionalities and monitor the user experience.

You support test and quality initiatives so that we can put quality software into production

You provide technical documentation as a standard part of your work

You closely follow technological developments and provide technical advice in your specific areas of expertise

You like to implement best practices.

You are results-oriented, not only for yourself but also for the team. You have an excellent knowledge of the life cycle and phases of a software development project, the different roles and tooling, specifically for the development of front end applications

You Develop advanced test strategies for flawless software

If there are no acceptance criteria: development and testing of acceptance criteria based on existing functional and non-functional requirements, business processes, tickets, user stories and "business rules"

You translate the requirements of the stakeholders into clear testable conditions for the software testers.

Designing and specifying test cases and scenarios to test whether systems, products and services meet the acceptance criteria and the proposed business benefits.

Collaborating with project colleagues and stakeholders involved in the analysis, development and operation of products, systems or services to ensure accuracy and comprehensive test coverage.

Organization of tests with the business stakeholders

Analysis and reporting of test activities, results, problems and risks






Profile description



You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or equivalent through experience

You have at least 10 years of experience as a software Test Engineer

You support test and quality initiatives so that we can put quality software into production

You are a senior software Test Engineer with experience in multiple domains.

You inspire your colleagues

You actively pass on your knowledge to your colleagues and ensure that it is applied

You have experience in leading test teams, coaching employees and you facilitate the collaboration between developers, analysts and stakeholders.

You have experience in designing test strategies for complex, large-scale systems.

You have experience with test tools and frameworks, including CI/CD integrations.

You have experience with at least one of the Agile project management methods (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, ...).

You have experience with the technical professionalization of test environments

You have experience in leading a team and coaching employees

You are eager to learn and would like to stay informed of trends in the sector and technological developments.

You can further assist individual testers and the team with knowledge transfer and the necessary advice.

You are an excellent communicator

You are a strong individual AND a team player

You are an enforcer of agreed principles and pragmatic when necessary

You are a problem solver

You have broad problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks in projects.

You provide technical documentation as a standard part of your work

You have experience with the technical professionalization of test environments

You have Belgian nationality

You speak French or Dutch as your main language with at least a basic knowledge of the other language and English.

You have a great sense of responsibility and you remain discreet about your work. You have a security clearance of the level "Top Secret" or you agree to obtain one
