Join us in Transforming Lives Together! Pathlight School is the first autism-focused school in Singapore to offer the national curriculum together with life readiness skills. It caters to students on the autism spectrum with related conditions, aged 7 to 18 years, who are cognitively able to access national curriculum but require additional support such as smaller class sizes, special accommodations and teaching staff trained in autism. The team at Pathlight School Secondary School is responsible for providing a nurturing and supportive environment that caters to the diverse learning needs of students with autism. We are looking for passionate and dedicated educators to join our team. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons according to the Singapore national curriculum, adapting teaching methods to suit the learning needs of students with autism. * Collaborate with other educators, therapists and support staff to provide a holistic and individualized education for each student. * Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and social-emotional development. * Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and parents. * Participate in school-wide activities and contribute to the overall development of the school community. * Manage classroom resources effectively and maintain a safe and organized learning environment. * Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. * Valid teaching certification/license. * Experience working with students with autism or special needs is preferred. * A strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and its impact on learning. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students. * A passion for working with children with special needs and a commitment to their success. * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
