Job description

Role Overview: As an Education Counselor you will be responsible for managing both new student acquisition and existing student engagement through inbound and outbound telephonic communication. You will guide prospective students toward the right courses while ensuring that current students continue to have an outstanding learning experience with us. Key Responsibilities: 1. Student Acquisition (New Enrollments): ● Inbound and Outbound Calling: Reach out to prospective leads and handle incoming inquiries to convert them into enrollments. ● Counseling and Guidance: Provide detailed information about courses, programs, and the institution to prospective students. ● Needs Analysis: Understand the educational background, career aspirations, and learning needs of prospective students. ● Relationship Building: Build rapport and maintain a strong relationship with prospective students to facilitate enrollment. ● Follow-up and Lead Management: Effectively manage leads, follow up with prospective students, and track their progress through the enrollment funnel. 2. Student Engagement (Existing Students): ● Student Support: Offer support and guidance to current students, addressing their academic and non-academic concerns. ● Course Guidance: Assist students in selecting courses that align with their career goals and academic interests. ● Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and help them stay on track. ● Retention Efforts: Implement strategies to retain students, resolve issues, and ensure their continued satisfaction. ● Communication: Maintain regular communication with students through calls, emails, and other channels. 3. Reporting and Documentation: ● Data Entry: Accurately enter and maintain student data in the CRM system. ● Report Generation: Generate reports on student acquisition, engagement, and performance metrics. ● Documentation: Maintain organized records of student interactions, communications, and enrollment details. 4. Collaboration and Coordination: ● Teamwork: Collaborate with other members of the admissions and student services teams. ● Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with academic departments, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless student experience. ● Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of enrollment processes, student support services, and overall operational efficiency. Qualifications: ● Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field. ● Experience: Proven experience in education counseling, student advising, or a related role. ● Skills: ○ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ○ Strong sales and persuasion abilities. ○ Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships. ○ Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. ○ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets. ○ Proficiency in using CRM systems and other relevant software. ○ Ability to handle inquiries and resolve conflicts effectively. ○ Ability to provide excellent student service. ● Other: ○ Strong organizational and time-management skills. ○ Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ○ Knowledge of online learning platforms and educational technologies is a plus.
