Operating across multiple sites, the Institution de Lavigny comprises a neurological hospital with outpatient clinics at two locations, two residential departments for adults with disabilities, one with intellectual disabilities and a physical issue respectively, a specialized school, and a sector for workshops and vocational training.

We are looking for a:

Specialized Educator for the "Astres" Sector Permanent Contract - Activity Rate to be Agreed

At the Institution de Lavigny, within the Astres Sector, we daily support adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) associated with complex behavioral issues.
The "Astres" sector consists of 3 living units. Their reality is to support men and women aged 18 to 80 living with intellectual disabilities and predominant behavioral disorders.

Your mission:

• Work in human-sized living spaces.
• Decode the behaviors of complex profiles to better understand needs.
• Create secure reference points and use adapted communication tools (PECS, AAC).
• Provide precise support, balancing a structured framework with caring.
• Demonstrate patience, creativity, and consistency when faced with sometimes intense situations.
• Experience days combining support in daily living activities and structured activities, designed for each individual and conducted over the long term.
• Ensure the physical and psychological well-being of residents, be attentive to their health status, and intervene quickly if necessary (nurse, general practitioner, and psychiatrist are available within the Institution).
• Be a trusted point of contact, capable of understanding the emotions behind actions.
• Develop and adapt tailor-made individual projects.
• Work in close collaboration with an experienced multidisciplinary team.
• Encourage and maintain good relationships with families and legal representatives.

Your profile:

• Specialized Educator qualification at ES or HES level, in the field of special education or social work.
• ASE training or equivalent qualification.
• Developed analytical skills allowing for fine assessment of complex situations and adaptation of intervention strategies.
• Experience or strong aptitude for supporting complex profiles.
• Trained or aware of the following approaches: ABA, TEACCH, PECS, AAC (an asset).
• Willingness to learn, share, and grow with the team and the individuals being supported.
