Early Years Teaching Assistant

About the Role We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive, and well-resourced school in Poole. This is a full time, immediate start position , with opportunities to support pupils across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will be working with children aged 3-5, assisting the class teacher in creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the teacher in the delivery of lessons and activities. Working with small groups and individual children to provide tailored support. Helping to prepare the classroom and resources. Assisting with the assessment and monitoring of children's progress. Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Providing personal care and support to children as needed. Adhering to school policies and procedures. What We Are Looking For: Previous experience working with children in an early years setting. A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare). A good understanding of the EYFS framework. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach. The ability to work as part of a team. A genuine passion for working with young children.
