What You’ll Do (aka: Your responsibilities) * Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and loving classroom environment. * Plan and implement emergent curriculum inspired by the children’s interests. * Facilitate play-based learning experiences that foster children’s social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development. * Observe and document children’s learning and development through anecdotal records, portfolios, and other assessment tools. * Communicate effectively with parents and families, building strong partnerships to support children’s growth. * Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team environment. * Uphold the values and philosophy of House of Tamariki. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. * Ensure the health and safety of children, following all relevant regulations and policies. * Be present and available to meet the needs of the children and the program.
