Early Childhood Educator

What You’ll Do (aka: Your responsibilities) * Create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and loving classroom environment. * Plan and implement emergent curriculum inspired by the children’s interests. * Facilitate play-based learning experiences that foster children’s social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development. * Observe and document children’s learning and development through anecdotal records, portfolios, and other assessment tools. * Communicate effectively with parents and families, building strong partnerships to support children’s growth. * Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team environment. * Uphold the values and philosophy of House of Tamariki. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. * Ensure the health and safety of children, following all relevant regulations and policies. * Be present and available to meet the needs of the children and the program. You’ll be a great fit if you… * Have a genuine passion for working with young children. * Are warm, nurturing, and patient. * Have a strong understanding of child development and play-based learning. * Are creative, flexible, and adaptable. * Are a strong communicator and team player. * Are committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. * Have experience working in an early childhood setting (preferred). * Hold a degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
