EAP Counsellor (Clinical Psychologist)

Our clinical team provides counseling services worldwide, including telephone and video support, structured telephone and video counseling and referrals to external caregivers or other resources.

WPO has an attractive job opportunity for counselors to strengthen our clinical team in Belgium. Currently, we are looking for someone who can work full-time (38h). This position can be filled hybrid or fully remotely through telecommuting (depending on your location). Our office is located at Krijgslaan 6, 9000 Ghent.

Responsibilities:

• Provide telephone and video counseling and in-the-moment support in a supportive, ethical and professional manner, with respect for confidentiality
• Refer clients to appropriate external resources or within WPO, as part of our holistic approach
• Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in the case management system
• Develop clear and concise treatment plans
• Thoroughly evaluate clients to ensure that short-term guidance is appropriate
• Any additional tasks relevant to the position, as deemed necessary by management

Profile:

• Master's degree in clinical psychology
• Recognized by the psychologists commission, visa clinical psychologist FOD
• Possess good listening skills and be able to offer short-term clinical interventions, such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing and solution-focused techniques.
• Be able to provide counseling in Dutch
• Good command of English
• Training or experience in crisis intervention and support of high-risk clients is a plus
• The ability to work with clients with risks around substance abuse, crisis situations, psychological symptoms and/or family/relationship-related problems that affect personal or work performance
• Passionate about providing support and counseling, possibly to clients who may be located anywhere in the world
• Work culturally sensitively with our clients
• Be proficient in using the various ways people can contact us: phone, video, email, text and live chat
