About Us

Aurivian is a Shopware agency from Karlsruhe. We develop, operate, and optimize e-commerce solutions based on Shopware 6 for medium-sized retailers in the DACH region. Our projects include, among others, the continuous further development of a market-leading online specialist retailer, with whom we work closely and in partnership. We are a small, well-coordinated team with a great working atmosphere and are looking for someone to enrich our team.

Your Role

As an E-Commerce Developer (m/f/d), you will be part of our development team and implement customer projects based on Shopware 6. The focus of your work will be on backend development with PHP and Symfony. You will also be responsible for storefront adjustments with Twig, SCSS, and JavaScript, and connect external systems to continuously develop our e-commerce solutions.

You will work independently on your tasks, actively contribute your technical perspective to architecture and technology decisions, and further develop suitable solutions in exchange with the team and development management.

Your Tasks

• Development of Shopware plugins and custom extensions
• Implementation of customer-specific requirements with a focus on backend
• Storefront adjustments in Twig, SCSS, and JavaScript
• Integration of external systems and services via REST APIs
• Code reviews and technical documentation
• Technical feedback with project management and customers
• Contributing to internal dev processes, CI/CD workflows, and standards

Your Profile

• You have knowledge of object-oriented PHP development
• Sound knowledge of Symfony, Twig, MySQL, and Git
• Practical experience with Shopware 6 (customer projects, own plugins, or certifications)
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Initial experience with API design and system integration
• Familiar with modern dev setups (Docker, GitHub, Testing, CI/CD)
• Structured, self-reliant way of working
• Good German speaking and writing skills (Level B2+)

Bonus Points For

• Experience with other shop systems
• Shopware certifications (Backend Developer, Frontend Developer)
• Experience with Vue.js or comparable frontend frameworks
• Experience with other PHP backend frameworks
• Experience with performance optimization and caching in e-commerce
• Experience with headless architectures or the Shopware Store API
• Initial contact with DevOps topics (Deployment, Monitoring)

• €55,000 to €65,000 gross/year for full-time employment, depending on experience.
