Kijimea – From Research. For Your Life. Since our founding in 2011, we have pursued a clear vision: We want to specifically utilize the potential of the microbiota (bacteria) in our gut for a longer and healthier life – for all people.

We achieved a first major milestone as early as 2013 with the discovery and clinical research of the unique bacterial strain B. bifidum MIMBb75 (Kijimea Irritable Bowel Syndrome). Since then, we have been able to noticeably improve the lives of millions of irritable bowel syndrome patients worldwide. Today, B. bifidum MIMBb75 is one of the best-researched bacterial strains worldwide. Its effectiveness and unique mechanism of action have been proven and published in numerous clinical studies – including in renowned journals such as The Lancet.

We collaborate with leading research institutions such as Charité Berlin to investigate the connections between the microbiota (bacteria in our gut) and allergies, skin diseases, and mental disorders. In short: We are investigating how the bacteria in our gut influence a longer and healthier life.

Your Mission With Us

Do you want to not just work through tickets in e-commerce, but to find the levers yourself that make our shop faster, better, and more successful – with AI, automation, and clean code? Then you're in the right place! As an E-Commerce Developer – AI & Automation (w/m/d), you will be responsible for the technical further development of our international Shopify-PLUS shop across 11 markets – from themes, apps, and checkout to interfaces and automated workflows. You will think in terms of business results: What saves time, what increases conversion, what makes our processes scalable? Whether you come from Shopify development, technical e-commerce, or automation: The position is open for trainees to seniors – your drive, your learning curve, and your ownership are crucial. Your Responsibilities

• You independently identify the areas in e-commerce where time, revenue, or quality are lost, and solve them with AI, automation, and code – from idea to rollout.

• You automate recurring processes with n8n, Zapier, and MCP and connect Shopify with CRM, Accounting, Operations, and Analytics.

• You use AI daily in your development, build AI agents and tool integrations, and bring functional solutions into productive use.

• You take technical responsibility for our Shopify-PLUS shop in 11 markets: themes, apps, checkout, and performance.

• You develop APIs, data flows, and individual backend logic wherever standard solutions are not sufficient.

• You improve conversion and customer experience based on data – with A/B tests and new channels like TikTok Shop or WhatsApp.

Your Profile

• You have E-Commerce Drive: You want to measurably improve revenue, conversion, customer experience, and efficiency with technical solutions – and you measure yourself by results, not by completed tickets.

• You already use AI and automation practically – in your job or in your own projects – and can show what has been achieved. n8n, MCP, APIs, and AI agents appeal to you.

• You have experience in Shopify or web development and are comfortable with JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Liquid, and APIs. Python or TypeScript are a plus.

• You work independently and pragmatically and take responsibility without close daily management. Whether trainee or senior: The depth differs, not the aspiration.

• You have fluent German and English skills (at least C1). If your German is not yet fluent, even better English skills are required.
