How are we?
The Toren Hotel (4*) is a unique boutique hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. Due to our hotel's size, our well-trained team always surprises guests with a high level of personalized service. We offer our guests the right balance between informal and professional service by understanding their needs exceptionally well. Our team goes beyond individual departments; we help each other where needed to provide the best possible service.
What will you do?
As Duty Manager, you are the hub: you jump in where needed and make the right decisions. From our F&B outlet, Front Office to monitoring Guest Relations, you proactively take on tasks and delegate tasks when necessary. You also support management with projects. The Duty Manager works independently to optimize guest experience, and sets their team efficiently to achieve this. You are strong at sharing and transferring knowledge to the team by leading by example. You always keep an overview of the floor, monitor processes so that everything runs smoothly, and ensure guests are satisfied. Additionally, you can also work services in breakfast, bar, and reception if necessary
Who are you?
You are ready to take the next step in your own development and have sufficient skills and leadership experience to make this step. You have a strong sense of responsibility and are exceptionally guest-oriented. You get happy when guests are too, and do everything to improve the guest experience. You are naturally a leader and lead the team by setting the right example. You are eager to learn and quickly pick up things, which allows you to jump in when needed on all our operational departments. Furthermore, you have experience within the hospitality industry, preferably at a leadership position. Systems such as POS and PMS are not unknown to you, and you are handy with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Excellent mastery of the English language (spoken and written) is required; Dutch is a plus.
