Dual Study Program to become a Certified Financial Administrator (FH) (m/f/d) in the Tax Administration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia

The North Rhine-Westphalia tax administration, with its over 100 tax offices and 30,000 employees, is a modern administration with dedicated employees who perform diverse and responsible tasks. Over 100 tax offices in North Rhine-Westphalia deal with tax assessments – one is guaranteed to be near you.

The study program lasts three years and is structured as a dual program. Theoretical training at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance North Rhine-Westphalia alternates with practical training at the tax office.

• a total of 21 months of study phases at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance NRW, with its main campus in Nordkirchen Castle and satellite locations in Herford and Hamminkeln
• a total of 15 months of practical phases at the tax office

During the training at the tax office, you can expect intensive support in specially established training areas and organized working groups that link theoretical content with professional practice.

The areas of focus include the determination and assessment of taxes for individuals and companies of all sizes, as well as the examination of assessed taxes in field audits of the office's operational audits.

The prerequisites for studying to become a Certified Financial Administrator (FH) are:

• Abitur (German high school diploma) or an educational qualification that entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences
• At the time of employment, you must be a national of an EU member state or a state with an EU legal agreement
• Maximum age of 38 years (exceptions possible)

Each year, we award approximately 800 study places nationwide across 104 locations throughout North Rhine-Westphalia.
