Start your dual study in April or October – directly on campus or flexibly virtual. You will complete your practical phases at a company near you. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to deepen your expertise in one of four specializations:
- Childhood Education
- Social Work with Adults
- Children and Youth Welfare
- Field of Action School
Tasks
- You can start your studies without a Numerus Clausus or entrance exam
- You will complete a state-recognized Bachelor's degree with practice-oriented content
- Your study advisors, Study Guides, and lecturers are always there for you
- You learn in small groups and can exchange ideas personally with your lecturers

You have earned this:
- Depending on the company, a monthly salary of €305 - €340 gross awaits you
- Additionally, your tuition fees of up to €789/month will be covered
Profile
- After an intensive introduction, you will gain a comprehensive insight into the areas of socio-psychiatric support, child and youth welfare, educational school support, and much more.
- You will support your colleagues in practical, goal-oriented, pedagogical support in their individual living environment, family life, and upbringing.
We offer
- You can get started at IU if you have a (vocational) high school diploma or a qualified vocational qualification, or are a state-certified technician or business administrator
- You can prove German language skills according to language level B2
- Diligence, responsibility, and discretion are qualities you can identify with
- You possess empathy, understanding, enjoy working with people, and are resilient
- Ideally, you have already completed a Voluntary Social Year (FSJ), a Federal Volunteer Service, or another volunteer activity
