Our Piloten-Team controls the missions from our pilot command center in Bensheim.

Aufgaben

What awaits you:

• Real missions, real responsibility: You work on a system that protects lives in emergency situations, not just a concept, but ongoing operation.
• High responsibility: High responsibility: You ensure a safe flight, react during the mission to the situation in the air and make suitable decisions – even under time pressure.
• Schedule 24/7: Emergencies don't keep office hours. We work on a shift system so that someone is always ready for deployment – even at night, on weekends, or holidays. You're part of it.
• Pre-flight checks, flight clearance & flight execution: You check the airspace and weather before the mission and continuously during the flight, monitor our drone systems and ensure a safe operation at all times. You decide whether to fly – and take responsibility for that.
• Situational awareness & monitoring: You monitor multiple systems simultaneously, recognize risks early on, and act proactively.
• You're in direct exchange with command centers, emergency operations centers, and other air traffic participants as needed. Your communication is clear, calm, and precise. Co-create instead of just flying: You share your experiences from the cockpit with our product team so that software and hardware can improve with each deployment.

Qualification

Who we're looking for:

• Drones experience: You have practical experience handling drones or other air traffic systems. The platform is secondary, responsibility awareness is decisive.
• Stress resistance: You make decisions even with incomplete information and remain capable of action.
• 24/7 readiness: Shift duty including night, weekend, and holiday shifts is not a deal-breaker for you, but part of the job.
• Fast reaction time: When the alarm sounds, seconds count. You quickly grasp situations, switch to emergency mode, and are highly concentrated within a short time.
• Error culture: Errors occur. You speak openly about them instead of hiding them – because only then does our flight operation remain safe.
• Communication: You speak fluent German and secure English.
