Driveline Engineer (Transmission, Axles & Shafts)

Job Title Design Release Engineer – Driveline Location Bengaluru Role The Design Release Engineer for Driveline will be responsible for translating customer requirements, both stated and unstated, into product specifications, ensuring that all designs meet driveline industry standards and best practices. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, ensuring systematic design and development approaches, conducting stakeholder meetings, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all releases. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of driveline systems, transmission, axles & shafts, and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and maintaining product specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet customer requirements. • Conducting stakeholder meetings to gather input and feedback on product designs. • Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all releases, including design changes, testing results, and technical reports. • Ensuring systematic design and development approaches are followed throughout the product lifecycle. • Providing technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams as needed. • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field, with at least 5 years of experience in driveline engineering, transmission, axles & shafts. Strong understanding of driveline systems, transmission, axles & shafts is essential. Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is also required.
