Drilling Manager

Job title: Drilling Manager – Oil & Gas (Upstream) Work Location: Chennai / Kharsang Reports to: Head of Drilling Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Drilling Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising drilling operations to ensure wells are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory and company standards . The role provides technical leadership, operational oversight, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams and contractors, from conceptualization to completion. Key responsibilities include: • Developing and implementing drilling plans, programs, and budgets • Coordinating with drilling contractors, service companies, and other stakeholders • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements • Providing technical guidance and support to drilling crews and operations personnel • Monitoring and reporting on drilling performance, costs, and progress • Collaborating with other departments, such as exploration, production, and reservoir engineering • Maintaining accurate records and reports of drilling activities • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including contractors, service companies, and regulatory bodies.
