ABOUT THE SYNTAX INSTITUT

Tasks

Your Role

As a lecturer*in for computer science, you are passionate about tech topics and ignite others with your enthusiasm. With agile learning methods, you enable our participants to think and act independently. As a mentor, you create a fault-tolerant, appreciative, and motivating learning atmosphere at eye level. Your goal is to accompany the participants to the IHK examination and lay the foundation for successful integration into the labor market.

Your Tasks

• Lecture and Course Leadership: You plan and lead the course in a hybrid format (partially remote, partially on-site) for the application development (AE) and/or system integration (SI) departments.
• PRACTICAL TRANSFER: You translate complex learning objectives into understandable learning units. These are enriched with examples from your own IT practice (e.g., programming, networks, IT security, cloud).
• Examination Preparation: You prepare the participants systematically for the IHK examination, including targeted exercises, intense reviews, and constructive feedback.
• Agile Learning Processes: You moderate the eduScrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily, Review, Retro) and ensure a smooth, agile process in daily learning.
• Team Development: You foster cooperation and self-organization within the learning groups and accompany them with strong conflict and feedback management. Additionally, you develop targeted initiatives for participants who are struggling and work closely with our Student Success Team.
• Development and Improvement of Teaching Materials: You create practical teaching materials in close collaboration with our product team. Furthermore, you are responsible for the professional and didactic quality of the course and for continuously improving and updating the learning content and tasks.

Qualification

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

• Education: A completed education in computer science or a successfully completed degree (e.g., computer science, business informatics). A plus is a valid AEVO certificate (training and qualification for vocational training).
• IT Background: At least 2-3 years of practical experience in IT, e.g., as a computer scientist, software developer, system administrator, or in a comparable role.
• Languages and Communication: Your fluent German skills (at least C1 level) and your excellent communication skills round out your profile and enable you to convey learning content clearly and motivatingly.
• Pleasure in Teaching and Learning: You are enthusiastic about sharing knowledge with others and actively supporting their learning. You work independently and explain complex topics logically and comprehensibly. You have an affinity for (online) teaching / e-learning and web-based learning programs.
• Presence on Site: You are available in the Hamburg or Bochum area.
