Your tasks

• Definition of target and transitional architectures for a complex OT/IT ecosystem

• Creation of concepts and high-level solution architectures based on requirements and strategic guidelines

• Ensuring the consistent implementation of architectural decisions in ongoing projects, taking into account functional and technical feasibility

• Conducting architecture reviews and quality checks to ensure compliance with architectural principles

• Promoting and ensuring the reuse of components and solutions within the system landscape

• Creation, setup, and maintenance of architecture artifacts and documentation in central tools like Confluence

• Technical analysis and testing of existing system and architecture components to identify weaknesses and optimization potential

• Introduction and further development of architectural governance, standards, and best practices within the respective area of responsibility

• Support in procurement and evaluation processes as well as technical guidance for product selection

• Communication and coordination of architectural decisions with relevant stakeholders, including domain-, solution-, and enterprise-architects

• Identification and assessment of opportunities and risks regarding market trends, new technologies, and provider roadmaps

• Professional representation of the platform area in adjacent projects to ensure a common approach between departments and IT

Must requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in an architectural role in the context of platforms in the energy industry or critical infrastructure (KRITIS)

• Comprehensive experience in architectural roles in the context of bare-metal Kubernetes platform, preferably on-prem and air-gapped

• Long-standing experience in the complete architecture lifecycle (design, implementation, commissioning) with applications in productive use

• Basic knowledge of the technical requirements of a transmission system operator (TSO) for a future-proof system management and their impact on IT infrastructure and software architectures in the KRITIS context

• Practical experience in modeling applications and their architectures

• Completed studies or training in the field of computer science, IT security, network technology, or a comparable field

• German language skills at native speaker level as well as conversational English in writing and speaking

• Willingness to undergo a security check (SÜG) and successful pre-screening

• Notable personal project references: At least one reference in the DACH region and one reference related to individual software development and system integration in the energy sector or critical infrastructure

Can requirements

• Experience in strategic IT planning as well as various development models and deployment approaches

• Comprehensive knowledge of key technologies for implementing future platform requirements

• Ability to evaluate system architectures, conduct risk analyses, and derive suitable measures

• Relevant experience in documenting architectural decisions and processes, ideally using Confluence

Further information

The project period is planned from April 2026 to the end of 2028. The remote component accounts for approximately 75%. A security check (SÜG) is required for execution.
