Domain Secretary

The Domain Secretary will be responsible for:
- Improving administrative and management decision-making processes within the social domain so that administrative goals from the executive program are translated, monitored, and more easily achieved. Within the decision-making processes, the team of domain secretaries focuses on quality, content, integrity (including connections between sectors), and processes.
- Coordinating the long-term agenda based on input from management/executive program and translating this into annual plans for delivering results. The starting point for this is the dossier planning.
- Reviewing, sparring, and advising on administrative documents and other administrative matters, available to provide this support to all colleagues in the social domain.
- Secretary role of the social domain management team and MT social domain..
- Coordinating role of the various policy consultations (i.e., providing information and advice on action points from Executive Boards, oversight from all three Executive Boards and the Executive Board, and liaison between this consultation and the Management Teams and the Executive Board). Each BO has a familiar face at the table, but the domain secretaries all work explicitly for the entire social domain and not for one specific alderman.
- Coordinating annotations for national board meetings, public affairs matters for the social domain.
- Coordinating press and council questions and reviewing answers.
- Coordinating the P&C cycle, editing texts for P&C products.
The Domain Secretary will ideally have the following skills:
- Education: you have at least a higher professional education (HBO) degree and function at a university level of work and thinking (preferably a degree in public administration, political science, etc.)
- Experience: knowledge and experience of administrative processes is a must.
- Skills: you have a well-developed external orientation and know what is going on in the city and beyond.
- You have political and administrative sensitivity and navigate easily in a complex environment.
- You have an approachable and open personality. You enjoy collaborating and are able to connect diverse parties.
- You have strong analytical skills and are able to maintain an overview and distinguish between the important and the unimportant.
