Dockchief Chinook / Apache B1-3

Your role as Dockchief Chinook / Apache B1-3 at the Royal Netherlands Air Force

In this role, you are responsible for coordinating and monitoring maintenance activities on Chinook or Apache weapon systems. You will direct personnel, prepare capacity overviews, and supervise the correct logging of complaints in the maintenance system (SAP). Additionally, you will issue Planning Cards, qualify them, and oversee their execution. You ensure that all tasks, including partial and side tasks assigned through authorization or training, are performed properly. Through supervision, you closely monitor the progress of the work and discuss malfunctions, repairs, and possible modifications with the involved employees and/or the floor manager.

In addition to your coordinating role, you are responsible for good regulations and procedure management, as well as effective safety policies. You ensure that operations within the dock comply with prescribed guidelines, so that the set goals are achieved as efficiently as possible. When necessary, you will initiate adjustments to existing work methods or propose new procedures. You ensure that all publications within the dock are complete, in good condition, and correctly amended.

Furthermore, you are responsible for the planning and programming of the work in your dock, ensuring the correct application of procedures and work methods. Safety and environmental hygiene are paramount; you ensure that safety measures are observed and actively support safety and environmental actions. When necessary, you will initiate infrastructural requests and ensure that operational materials are correctly packaged, stored, and used according to applicable regulations. When identifying bottlenecks, you will propose improvements.

Job Requirements

• You possess a completed MBO-4 diploma in a technical field, preferably in aircraft maintenance technology.
• You have several years of maintenance experience on the Chinook or Apache. BVB experience is mandatory.
