DMS LOG | Control Tower Team Leader | Special Operations

DMS Logistics is a Brazilian multinational freight forwarding company, with 40 years of experience in foreign trade and specialized in freight forwarding. Here you will work in the Control Tower, a department responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and optimizing logistics operations in real time, offering complete visibility and support for strategic decision-making for various segments.

Main challenges:

• Manage and develop the Control Tower team through: 1:1s, feedback, and performance reviews;
• Work strategically with the head of the area to define operating strategies;
• Guide, monitor, train, and motivate the team to achieve goals and results;
• Report problems, solutions, ideas, and projects to the head of the area, as well as area results;
• Participate in meetings between teams and other DMS leaders;
• Monitor the company's Business Intelligence (BI) and contribute to process improvement and automation;
• Create job descriptions for the team, hire and dismiss employees when necessary;
• Ensure the team is executing activities related to the client's logistics, which may include: Order management, cargo transportation (including collection, storage, customs clearance, and final destination delivery), ensuring compliance with client deadlines and requirements;
• Maintain constant communication with leaders of other teams and with all parties involved in the logistics process when necessary, including: suppliers, carriers, customs brokers, and other partners, to ensure effective coordination and resolve any issues that arise;
• Manage the analysis of operational data and metrics presented by the team to proactively identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures to optimize the efficiency and quality of services provided.
• Ensure the team is serving the client *on time* at all stages of the process and provide customized control and performance tools for internal and external use (for the client).

Prerequisites:

• Completed higher education degree
• Intermediate to advanced English desirable
• Experience with people management desirable
• Experience with Foreign Trade (COMEX) and logistics, especially customs clearance and shipment coordination.
