Divisional IT Manager

Job description

This role is responsible for day-to-day management of the divisional IT environment, including the coordination and oversight of divisional IT related projects. Responsible for being the single point of contact between the division and Group IT for all divisional information technology related matters. The divisional IT Manager is responsible for leading the divisional IT team while supporting the divisional users with communication, IT infrastructure and systems. Provide strategic vision and input into the IT strategy for the division. **Responsibilities** * Manage and provide leadership to the divisional IT team. * Provide 1st/2nd line support to all divisional users, including incident management, troubleshooting and resolution. * Management of the divisional IT infrastructure including but not limited to; servers, networking, telephony, printers/MFDs, end user devices and software. * Ensure that all IT systems are maintained in line with agreed service levels, policies and security standards. * Manage and coordinate divisional IT related projects, ensuring timely delivery and within budget. * Work with Group IT to ensure the IT environment is aligned with the overall Group IT strategy and standards. * Manage relationships with external IT suppliers, ensuring the provision of effective services. * Create and maintain documentation for all IT systems and processes. * Manage and monitor the divisional IT budget. * Identify and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT environment. * Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends and technologies. * Liaise with 3rd party vendors to procure hardware and software and follow through with implementation. * Manage the divisional IT inventory. **Key Skills and Experience** * Proven experience in IT management. * Experience of managing and motivating an IT team. * Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, and end-user devices. * Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. * Experience of managing IT budgets. * Project management experience. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment is advantageous. * Proven ability to work with and manage 3rd party vendors.
