As District Manager, you are responsible for the operational and financial performance of a district with multiple catering locations. You manage, coach, and develop the Site Managers and monitor the quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability of the locations.
You ensure that the company strategy and agreements made are translated into daily operations. You work closely with the Key Account Manager, who is the first point of contact for the customer, and report to the responsible person within the organization.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Coaching
- You manage the Site Managers and are their point of contact for operational, personnel, and organizational issues.
- You coach, motivate, and develop the Site Managers and conduct their performance and evaluation interviews.
- You monitor objectives, responsibilities, and performance and make adjustments where necessary.
- You support the recruitment of Site Managers and encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing between locations.
Operational Functioning
- You monitor the operational functioning, quality, and food safety of the various catering locations.
- You follow up on performance, complaints, and areas for improvement, and make adjustments where necessary.
- You visit the locations regularly and stay in touch with employees, customers, and daily operations.
- You provide operational support at the locations where needed and temporarily take over certain responsibilities in the absence of the Site Manager.
Financial & Results
- You are responsible for the total financial result of your district.
- You monitor personnel costs, food costs, return, and customer satisfaction, among other things.
- You analyze results and deviations and translate them into concrete actions.
- You support the Site Managers in achieving their objectives and monitor the efficient deployment of people and resources.
Customer & Collaboration
- You work closely with the Key Account Manager, who is the first point of contact for the customer.
- You are familiar with the various contractual agreements and customer requirements and ensure their correct translation into operational functioning.
- You translate customer agreements into concrete actions for the Site Managers and follow up on them.
- You provide operational input during customer consultations when relevant and signal points of attention to the Key Account Manager.
- You ensure good collaboration and information flow between the customer, Key Account Manager, Site Managers, and the internal organization.
Development & Reporting
- You identify opportunities for improvement and stimulate continuous improvement within the district.
- You share best practices and support improvement and change processes.
- You monitor KPIs, financial results, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- You report on results, developments, risks, and areas for improvement to the Operational Manager.
ProfileWe are looking for a strong people manager and entrepreneurial professional who can oversee multiple locations and inspire and develop Site Managers.
- You have relevant management experience in hospitality, catering, large kitchens, company restaurants, or a similar environment.
- Experience as a Site Manager is a plus, but not required.
- You have experience in leadership and preferably in managing managers.
- You have financial and analytical insight and can work with KPIs.
- You have a good understanding of contractual agreements and customer requirements.
- You are strong in coaching, communication, and giving feedback.
- You are customer-oriented, results-oriented, and organizationally strong.
- You take initiative, dare to make decisions, and maintain an overview of multiple locations.
- You preferably also have knowledge of the French language.

- You give Site Managers the space to lead their own location, but ensure clear frameworks, objectives, and follow-up.
- You look beyond individual locations and ensure cohesion, development, and results.
