Distribution Supervisor

An exciting opportunity is available for a Distribution Supervisor within a reputable Manufacturing environment in the Western Cape. This role involves overseeing distribution operations, including fleet, loading, and delivery processes, while maintaining stock accuracy, cost control, and on-time delivery performance, and contributing to efficient customer service and operational reliability. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience and proven expertise in distribution/warehouse operations, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing the daily activities of warehouse staff, including loading, unloading, and moving goods; • Coordinating and controlling the movement of goods within the warehouse and to/from customers; • Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, inventory movements, and customer orders; • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation and regulations; • Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction; • Collaborating with other departments to resolve issues and improve overall performance. • Providing exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer inquiries, resolving issues in a timely manner, and ensuring that all customer needs are met. • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents or hazards, and participating in training programs as required. • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement process improvements, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Requirements: • 3 years of experience in a distribution/warehouse operations role; • Proven expertise in logistics and supply chain management principles; • Strong understanding of inventory control systems and procedures; • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines; • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
