Dispatch operative with forklift license

We are looking for despatch operative to join our client based in Welwyn Garden City.

Main responsibilities:

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure that all items are correctly labeled and packaged to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate data entry for all shipping and receiving activities.
• Assist in loading and unloading deliveries and shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents, including labels, packing lists, and any necessary customs paperwork.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to the inventory manager.
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of the despatch area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all orders are complete and meet company standards before dispatch.
• Report any product defects or issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring that all procedures are followed to promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred
• Valid forklift license
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Full training will be provided.
