Instructional Designer

Job Objective:

Identify and document learning needs and create a plan to develop or update engaging training that addresses those needs. Will initiate and manage all phases of the instructional content creation process for all business lines within the company.

Main Responsibilities:

• Identify and document learning needs with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leaders.
• Define learning objectives and key takeaways according to identified needs.
• Design questions and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
• Develop storyboards and scripts to structure instructional content.
• Collect and manage multimedia resources necessary for content development.
• Review and update training content, ensuring its currency, quality, and alignment with policies.
• Collaborate with leaders and SMEs to validate content, address changes, and maintain continuous communication during projects.
• Propose improvements in the learning experience, formats, styles, and processes to increase the effectiveness of materials.
• Document processes, changes, and decisions to ensure project continuity and traceability.
• Participate in multimedia productions such as audio recordings, video, and photo sessions, in front of or behind the camera/microphone.

Requirements:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education/Teaching, Training, Administration, Organizational Communication, Psychology, or a related field.
• 2 - 3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Experience in Storyboarding (content development).
• Desirable: experience in content development for training or organizational development or interest in developing in that area.
• Knowledge of multimedia production, graphic design, or other development software.
• Basic to intermediate English.

Knowledge in:

• Microsoft Office Suite
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe After Effects or similar
• Claude, Adobe Firefly, Magnific AI, or other AI-powered design and content generation tools.
