Disability Support Worker

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany and support aged and disabled clients with their daily activities.
• Assist clients with mobility, movement, and safe transfers.
• Prepare and serve meals, providing feeding support when required.
• Organize and facilitate social, recreational, and community activities.
• Perform household tasks, including cleaning, vacuuming, and general tidying to maintain a safe environment.
• Support clients with personal care, including dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement.
• Assist clients with shopping and running errands as needed.
• Provide live-in support when required to ensure consistent care.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent
• Previous 1 year experience working with individuals with disability (preferred)
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of empathy, patience, and reliability
