Opportunity available in the East/North Metro area and surrounding suburbs Casual hourly rate ($41.05 per hour), inclusive of 25% loading Friendly and supportive team with a positive culture Well established Not for Profit with over 45 years experience Access to tax saving salary packaging options People Who Care provide person-centred assistance and support to people living with a disability, helping them to achieve their goals and remain as independent as possible. This role is crucial in fostering independence and improving the quality of life for our clients. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including: * Assisting clients with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming). * Supporting clients with domestic tasks (meal preparation, cleaning, laundry). * Facilitating community participation and social engagement. * Providing emotional support and building positive relationships. * Assisting with medication as per care plans. * Transporting clients to appointments and activities. * Implementing behaviour support strategies. * Maintaining accurate and timely client records. Skills and Experience: * Previous experience in disability support or aged care is highly desirable. * A genuine passion for helping others and making a difference. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * A current and valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. * First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain). * National Police Check (or willingness to obtain). * Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain). * Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent is an advantage.
