Disability Support Worker

About the Role:

We are currently looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team to assist our participant located in Blaxland, NSW. Our participant is a male who suffered a Spinal Cord Injury and requires complex supports.

Our participant requires support from Monday to Sunday


This role is casual on-going and will involve a roster that includes the following shift times:

• 0700-1000
• 0700-1500
• 1500-2200
• 2200-0700

Pay rates:

• Day Shift - $42.50 p/h
• Afternoon Shift - $46.75 p/h
• Night Shift - $47.60 p/h
• Saturday Shift - $59.50 p/h
• Sunday Shift - $76.50 p/h

Key Responsibilities:

• Bowel Management - digital stimulation and enema
• PEG/RIG feeding and medication management
• Ventilation management / Tracheostomy management (training given)
• Hoisting
• Manual Handling
• Personal Care
• Consistend skin checks and skin integrity management
• Catheter management

Skills & Experiences:

• Previous experience supporting individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries (preferred)
• Current First Aid & CPR
• National Police Clearance
• NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module and Supporting Effective Communication Module
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• Full Australian working rights
• Positive Attitudes and flexibility in shift times
