Our team of Disability Support Workers (DSWs) plays a vital role in helping individuals live with dignity, achieve their goals, and actively participate in their communities. What We Offer: * Competitive hourly rates * Flexible working hours – choose the shifts that suit your lifestyle! * Ongoing professional development and training opportunities * A supportive and inclusive work environment * Opportunities for career progression and advancement * The chance to make a real difference in the lives of others Key Responsibilities: * Providing personal care and support to participants, including assistance with daily living activities. * Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals and aspirations. * Promoting independence, choice, and control for participants. * Assisting with medication administration (if qualified and trained). * Supporting participants to engage in community activities and social outings. * Maintaining accurate records and documentation. * Working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals. * Adhering to Discover Nursing Australia’s policies and procedures. Selection Criteria: * Certificate III or higher in Disability, Aged Care, or related field (or willingness to obtain). * Experience working with individuals with disabilities. * A genuine passion for supporting people and making a positive difference in their lives. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations. * Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain). * National Police Check. * Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
