Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers across Australia.
We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to support adult NDIS participants in SILs, & respite services across Cairns and surrounding suburbs.
Female Support Workers are preferred for this role due to female clients' requests with personal hygiene needs.

We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to support adult NDIS participants in SILs, & respite services across Cairns and surrounding suburbs.
Female Support Workers are preferred for this role due to female clients' requests with personal hygiene needs.
Overview of the role:
- We have opportunities to support people in SIL arrangements & respite services.
- 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm) and sleep over shifts.
- Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance & meals.
- Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP)
Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities. - Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
- Use a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle to transport participants to community-based outings.
- Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)
- 12 months paid experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities.
- Australian Driver's License
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment
- National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Reliable smart phone with data

- Casual position with consistent hours & routine rosters however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts.

- Easy to use rostering app, where you can view and accept shifts.
- Refer & Earn Incentive - $150 for each successful person you refer (conditions apply)
