Director Operational Trading & Energy Supply

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Director in the electricity market, capable of coordinating the company's operational and commercial activities. The role involves developing procurement and trading strategies, coordinating the team, and ensuring efficient operation of the business in line with company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating electricity supply, procurement, and trading activities.
• Establishing and implementing commercial strategies for energy procurement and trading.
• Coordinating and developing the operational team.
• Planning and optimizing operational processes.
• Monitoring portfolio performance and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Analyzing market trends and identifying commercial opportunities.
• Basing strategic decisions on market analysis and economic indicators.
• Negotiating commercial contracts with suppliers, producers, and partners.
• Managing relationships with market operators, authorities, and institutional partners.
• Ensuring compliance with the legislative and regulatory framework in the energy sector.
• Preparing management reports and presenting performance indicators to company management.
• Managing operational and commercial risks.

Requirements

• University degree in the energy sector.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the electricity sector.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a coordination or management position.
• Solid experience in electricity supply and trading.
• Knowledge of markets operated by OPCOM, EEX, and BRM.
• In-depth knowledge of the National Energy System and specific legislation.
• Experience in developing commercial and procurement strategies.
• Experience in negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Ability to analyze market trends and anticipate the evolution of the energy sector.
• Experience in coordinating and developing teams.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Very good communication and negotiation skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
• English language – advanced level.
