For over 80 years, John Brooks Company has been solving fluid handling challenges for customers in various industries/markets across Canada by providing a diverse selection of engineered products and innovative system designs, focusing on customized solutions consisting of filtration, pump, spray, and valve products. THE ROLE The Director of People & Culture is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives. This includes but is not limited to: developing and implementing HR initiatives, managing employee relations, providing coaching and training, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Will be a seasoned HR professional with a strong track record of developing and implementing HR initiatives that drive business results. They will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization. THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE Will include but are not limited to: developing and implementing HR initiatives, managing employee relations, providing coaching and training, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and providing strategic HR guidance to the organization. THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE Are as follows: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; 5+ years of experience in HR leadership role; Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and laws; Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects; Strong understanding of organizational development and change management principles; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Strong understanding of technology and willingness to learn new systems and tools.
