Your Mission

As Operations Business Director Germany, you are responsible for the operational business of the German market – roadsurfer's largest and highest-revenue market.

You ensure that stations, fleet, and repair & maintenance processes are set up stably, efficiently, and scalably, and that operational target figures in terms of costs, quality, availability, and customer satisfaction are reliably achieved.

You manage the operational day-to-day business across all German locations, work closely with central teams in a matrix organization, and ensure clear processes, consistent implementation, and measurable performance.

The Role – Your Operational Area of Responsibility

As Operations Business Manager Germany, you bear the operational end-to-end responsibility for the German market. Your focus is on performance management, operational stability, and continuous improvement.

Operational Management & KPI Ownership

• Management of station operations and fleet availability

• Responsibility for central operational KPIs, including:

  • Vehicle availability & downtime

  • Repair & maintenance costs per vehicle

  • Pickup & return productivity

  • Service & quality metrics (e.g., NPS/SQS)

• Derivation of concrete measures in case of target deviations and consistent follow-up of implementation

• Transparent communication of risks, dependencies, and operational blockers

Costs, Budget & Result Responsibility

• Responsibility for the operational budgets of the German market

• Close coordination of the topline with the Commercial and Pricing teams

• Ensuring cost control in operations, fleet, and R&M areas

• Close collaboration with Finance & Controlling on forecasts, deviations, and efficiency levers

Leadership & Operational Organization

• Leadership and further development of the operational management structure (e.g., Regional Managers)

• Ensuring clear responsibilities, decision-making paths, and escalation logics

• Building a robust performance and feedback culture at station and regional level

Process & Quality Management

• Continuous optimization of operational processes along the customer journey (Pickup, Return, Fleet Care)

• Ensuring uniform standards and their consistent implementation at all locations

• Reduction of operational complexity through standardization and clear prioritization

What You Need to Surf with Us

• Several years of experience in a highly operational leadership role in a decentralized environment

• Demonstrated responsibility for operational KPIs, budgets, and cost control

• Experience in operations, fleet, or asset-related business models

• Leadership experience across multiple locations

• High number and analytical competence as well as pronounced data-driven decision-making

• Strong implementation capability, clarity in action, and a pronounced hands-on mentality

• Very good communication skills in a matrix organization

• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany and to the headquarters in Munich / Frankfurt
