Director of Accounting, Financial Operations

About The Role Join one of the leading global technology companies and lead a high-performing Accounting Operations team, based in our brand-new Auckland CBD office. Reporting directly to the CFO and with significant exposure to executive leadership, you will lead a team of experienced accounting professionals to deliver key financial outcomes for a scaled, fast-paced multinational company. This is a senior leadership position within Pushpay, responsible for driving an efficient, best-in-class accounting function that supports the growth and success of our business. You will be expected to develop and implement strategies to drive process improvements, optimize financial performance, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include: • Leading a high-performing Accounting Operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members. • Developing and implementing strategic plans for the accounting function, aligned with business objectives and goals. • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, optimize financial performance, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, finance teams, and other departments. • Providing expert accounting advice and guidance to senior leaders and other stakeholders. • Managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for the accounting function. • Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintenance of internal controls. • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and processes to ensure efficient and effective accounting operations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. • 8+ years of experience in accounting leadership roles, preferably within a multinational company. • Strong understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. • Proven track record of driving process improvements and optimizing financial performance. • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
