Director IT Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• You lead and develop a 13-person team (including team leads) in the areas of IT Operations, Cloud Infrastructure, and international IT projects, and coordinate international IT employees across various companies, locations, and countries.
• You ensure stable, secure, and economical IT operations in an international corporate environment.
• You further develop the technical roadmap for the IT infrastructure landscape in a multi-cloud environment based on Azure and AWS, as well as for a Microsoft-centric system landscape.
• You manage infrastructure projects such as migrations, consolidations, and modernization initiatives, and coordinate international IT projects in complex organizational structures.
• You further expand governance structures, standards, and processes group-wide and manage external service providers and partners.
• You are responsible for budget and resource planning in close coordination with IT management.

Qualifications

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, an MINT subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a comparable qualification with a clear IT focus.
• You have several years of leadership experience in the IT environment and have ideally already managed team leads and had disciplinary responsibility.
• You possess sound architectural-level expertise in IT infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, and cloud, particularly concerning Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
• You have experience in international projects, navigate complex organizational structures confidently, and impress with strong stakeholder management. Experience with post-acquisition integrations is an advantage.
• You have a good understanding of IT security and are ideally also familiar with governance and compliance requirements.
• You communicate fluently in German and English.
• Personally, you impress with leadership, transformative power, and entrepreneurial thinking. You confidently lead teams through change processes, act as a communicator with strong bridge-building skills, and move confidently in complex, international, and intercultural structures.
