Director, Investigation & Law Enforcement Development

Join the International Justice Mission (IJM) as a Director in Investigation and Law Enforcement Development, where you will lead efforts to combat human trafficking across Europe. This role is based in Bucharest, Romania, with travel across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equip multi-disciplinary teams and partner NGOs to support trafficking cases and enhance law enforcement capabilities.
• Develop regional expertise to advise stakeholders and establish best practices for anti-trafficking programs.
• Create quality standards, products, and training materials for IJM and partners.
• Lead the development and execution of regional strategies aligned with global frameworks.
• Provide technical support for sustainable criminal justice systems and capacity building.
• Engage with stakeholders to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
• Develop tools and resources to guide IJM’s European teams and partners.
• Support program expansion and staff onboarding in new regions.
• Enhance expertise among staff and develop leadership pipelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Over 10 years of experience in criminal investigations with a public law enforcement agency.
• Experience in human trafficking investigations and transnational crime.
• Fluency in English and familiarity with global law enforcement networks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for human rights and social justice.
