Director, External Manufacturing

Job Description Purpose : Manage a team of Manufacturing Professionals assigned to Third Party Manufacture (TPM) contracts for small molecule products. Assure that high quality product is manufactured in compliance with local and international regulations, and released and delivered according to the established forecasts, schedules, and cost planned. Responsibilities: Lead a team of AbbVie TPM Account Managers to negotiate Manufacturing Service Agreement and amendments, and assure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements. Ensure timely and effective communication with internal stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Procurement, and Quality Assurance teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for successful contract management. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external manufacturing partners to ensure high-quality product delivery, on-time, and within budget. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and implement changes as needed. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, quality, and cost. Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve their goals and objectives. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AbbVie's business operations, including supply chain management, procurement, and quality assurance. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in the manufacturing sector. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or a related field. Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and guidelines. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Certifications: None specified.
