Job description
Director Economic
A Romanian company in the distribution sector, with a turnover of approximately 130 million lei and approximately 180 employees, is expanding its management team and is looking for an Economic Director.
We are looking for a professional with financial-accounting and managerial experience, who can effectively coordinate the financial-accounting team and transform financial information into useful tools for business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and supervision of financial-accounting activities;
- Coordination, evaluation, and development of the subordinate team;
- Continuous monitoring of cash flow, liquidity, and working capital;
- Analysis of financial results and key performance indicators;
- Development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts;
- Preparation of financial reports and analyses for management;
- Monitoring profitability and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement;
- Managing relationships with banks, auditors, consultants, and tax authorities;
- Ensuring compliance with accounting and tax legislation;
- Identifying financial and tax risks and proposing measures to mitigate them;
- Active involvement in the company's strategic decisions from a financial perspective.
Requirements:
- Higher economic education;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial-accounting field, of which at least 2 years in a coordination position;
- Solid knowledge of accounting and tax legislation;
- Experience in coordinating a team;
- Very good financial analysis and economic thinking skills;
- Experience working with budgets, cash flow, and financial indicators;
- Very good MS Excel skills and experience using ERP systems;
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines;
- Proactive attitude, rigor, and taking responsibility;
- Very good communication and negotiation skills.
