Director Corporate M&A (m/f/d)

Your Area of Responsibility

• Independent leadership and management of corporate M&A mandates throughout the entire transaction process.

• Central point of contact for clients, shareholders, management boards, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Responsibility for the operational execution of complex buy-side and sell-side transactions – from preparation to successful closing.

• Development and implementation of customized transaction strategies and management of the respective project teams.

• Creation, management, and quality assurance of transaction-relevant documents, particularly teasers, information memorandums, company valuations, and process documentation.

• Responsibility for financial modeling, company valuations, and financial analyses within M&A projects.

• Coordination of due diligence processes and collaboration with internal experts and external consultants.

• Preparation and support of contract and closing negotiations at shareholder and management board levels.

• Involvement in business development, particularly through maintaining existing client relationships, expanding one's own network, and supporting pitches and proposals.

• Technical leadership and development of project teams, as well as mentoring of consultants and managers.

• Active co-design and further development of our corporate M&A and corporate finance services.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed studies with a focus on business administration, finance, or a comparable field.

• Many years of relevant professional experience in corporate M&A, corporate finance, or investment banking in a leadership role.

• Proven experience in the successful acquisition and management of complex M&A mandates.

• Excellent financial expertise, particularly in integrated planning, company valuation, and standard M&A methodologies.

• Confident leadership personality with a clear entrepreneurial mindset, decisiveness, and a high sense of responsibility.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills in dealing with entrepreneurs, investors, banks, and committees.

• Fluent German and English language skills.

• Resilient personal network in corporate finance, M&A, or related areas.

• Very good MS Office skills; experience with financial and ERP systems (e.g., LucaNet) is an advantage.
