Job description
A leading producer in the food industry, specializing in the production of pastries, confectionery, salads, and ready-meal solutions, is seeking a Commercial Director. The role involves full responsibility for commercial strategy, revenue growth, and market share expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy and Growth: Develops and executes the annual sales plan across all channels (IKA, HoReCa, Traditional Trade, Export).
- Key Accounts Management: Manages strategic relationships at top management level with major retailers (IKA) and leads negotiation for contracting.
- Financial Performance: Is responsible for the commercial budget, pricing policies, and optimization of profit margin per product category.
- Forecasting and Efficiency: Collaborates with Production and Logistics departments to align sales forecasts with production capacity, minimizing returns specific to fresh products.
- Leadership: Coordinates, mentors, and develops the commercial team.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 - 7 years in a similar role (Commercial Director, Sales Director, or National KAM) in the food / FMCG industry. Experience with fresh products (short shelf life) is a major advantage.
- Network: Consolidated and active relationships with Buyers / Category Managers in Modern Retail in Romania.
- Skills: Solid analytical thinking (P&L management), advanced negotiation skills, and data-driven decision-making.
- Languages: Fluency in Romanian and English (business level).
