Director, AI Software Engineering

Job Summary We seek a senior software engineering leader to build and run the engineering backbone of our AI Center of Excellence (AI CoE). This role owns the end-to-end (E2E) delivery of Python-based AI platforms and products, from design and secure development through model/service deployment, production operations, governance, and lifecycle management in a regulated banking environment. You will lead multi-disciplinary team members to turn prototypes into compliant, scalable, reliable systems that meet regulatory requirements and are aligned with business objectives. This includes developing and maintaining technical roadmaps, defining and implementing engineering processes and standards, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality AI solutions that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, AI/ML, and data science, as well as experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including business leaders, product managers, and technical teams. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The Director, AI Software Engineering will report directly to the Head of AI CoE and will be expected to contribute to the development of the overall AI strategy and roadmap for the organization.
